Metal Band of the Week: Epicurean
The featured band this time around is a six-member group from Minneapolis. These guys are proof that the U.S. can churn out some hard hitting melo-death that’s right on par with all those guys from Finland, Sweden, Norway, etc.
They bring a nice mix of sounds to the table; a bit of death, some symphonic elements and a dash of hardcore. The melodies, along with a combination of harsh and clean vocals could make them pretty accessible to most fans of the genre.
Outburn gave their debut CD, "A Consequence of Design" a definitive 9/10, and I would have to agree. It’s an awesome release from start to finish.
