Metal Band of the Week: Dethklok

The featured band this week resides in more of a virtual domain. It was created for the Adult Swim show Metalocalypse and features a quintet of interesting characters and their adventures in death metal. Despite being confined to an animated series, the creator and main musician behind the band, Brendon Small, released a full-length Dethklok album this year.

"The Dethalbum" is actually a pretty solid CD, despite the somewhat tongue-in-cheek style. Brendon Small has definite talent and is a competent musician, especially for the genre. If you’re looking for a death metal band that doesn’t take itself too seriously, this is it.
